Privacy Policy

This privacy notice is summarised on 24th January 2024 by OncShare Ltd.  The Data Protection Officer is Sam Comley who can be contacted at [email protected].

The type of information we collect and why we have it is as follows:

  • OncShare.com website:  Analytics tracking data to understand metrics relating to content views – note however this is not identifiable to a person
  • Content development: Names, email addresses and payment details of Experts considered, consulted and involved as well as those of supporting staff (eg. medical writers)
  • Social media: User handles for the purposes of targeting content publishing

Our information retention is as follows:

  • Content development details are stored for as long as deemed relevant eg. if we are running or plan to run a series of updates with specific experts we will keep details relating to them
  • Social media details are retained for as long as deemed necessary in order to appropriate target content
  • The information described above is stored in OncShare’s private Microsoft Office 365 cloud-based storage
  • Any details that have not been used for 5 years will be deleted from our systems

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  • We have a contractual obligation (for expert and supporting staff contracts)
  • We have a legitimate interest (for expert recruitment and social media targeting)

We may pass data between third parties (eg. sharing expert details with supporting staff) on a needs-only basis.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing (for legitimate interests only) – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability (for contractual obligation only) – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
